How it all began….

In 1992 passionate local surfer John Fordy created a surf shop in Plymouth city centre named Surfing Life. From it's humble beginnings in a small one floor shop, Surfing Life has grown from strength to strength and still relies on the same ethics it started with. The idea was to provide the area with the best in hardware, apparel and service and that idea was very soon achieved enabling us to expand the business with the opening of one of the coolest looking surf shops in Europe, Quiksilver Boardriders ‘Flagship’ store in Newquay and where you are right now, our online store.

In the shop, the roots of the business are firmly planted upstairs in the hardware section. With over 100 new and used boards that cover everything from performance shortboards to longboards, beginner boards, groms boards, retro boards, funboards, fish and bodyboards. Coupled with the massive range of wetsuits and hardware accessories, it is clear that Surfing Life is here because of the love of the sport.

Downstairs sees the latest in surf fashion and the friendly staff are always going out of their way to ensure that the customer is satisfied and enjoys their shopping experience.
